Bring the restaurant home and make a delicious dinner at home with the help of some celebrity chefs who know good food. These five recipes are totally doable for the home cook and designed to be impressive and thoughtful. Couple any of these decadent, buttery dishes with some diamonds and it’s sure to be a Valentine’s Day to remember.

Fettuccine Alfredo from Carla Lalli Music

A simple and delicious comfort food dish. Nothing says cozy date night by the fire like a big bowl of buttery pasta. Perfect for cuddling up under a blanket for a romantic dinner and movie.

Seared Porterhouse with Oozing Maitre d’ Butter from Alex Guarnaschelli

If your date is a steak lover, this is the Valentine’s Day meal that they will never forget. No grilling skills needed, Chef Alex Guarnaschelli prefers to cook this steak in a cast iron skillet to get that caramelized sear on the meat. You’ll create a compound butter to slice and melt on your perfectly cooked steak that will ooze down the sides for delicious flavors.

Maine Lobster Macaroni Cheese with Truffle Oil from Brian O’Reilly & Robert Irvine

This is not your average boxed mac and cheese or even your mother’s homemade. It’s one of the more decadent and delicious comfort food dishes that will also make you feel fancier in your own home. Plus, the words “Maine lobster” and “truffle oil” are enough to impress just about anyone.

Tomato and Parmesan Risotto from Andy Baraghani

While a risotto takes a little more time to get right, it is well worth the wait. This recipe is creamy with pops of bright tomato flavor. Just a few ingredients can make for a delightful vegetarian Valentine’s Day feast. Serve with a leafy green salad, sauteed rapini or thin asparagus to add more color to the plate.

Engagement Roast Chicken from Ina Garten

Popping the question this Valentine’s Day? Ina Garten makes the absolute best roast chicken that’s perfect for the occasion. Though we don’t recommend hiding the ring in the bird, it’s a meal fit for a romantic engagement celebration for two. After all, Ina and her husband Jeffrey have been married for over 50 years so you’ll have many years of love and happiness ahead.

Don’t have a lot of time for cooking? Opt for a romantic movie night with this scrumptious Brown Butter & Lemon Popcorn recipe:

  • 12-16 cups of freshly popped popcorn (make this yourself or use 1-2 bags of plain microwave popcorn)
  • 6 Tbsp Majestic Butter
  • 1 ½ tsp grated lemon zest
  • Salt to taste

Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 6-7 minutes. Keep an eye on it because butter will burn quickly. Remove from the heat and stir in lemon zest. Drizzle over popcorn, salt to taste and toss until well-coated.
